NIST to Revise Special Publications 800-38B, "CMAC" and 800-38C, "CCM"

In June 2024, NIST's Crypto Publication Review Board announced the review of the following publications:

On January 29, 2025, NIST proposed to revise both publications and did not receive public comments.

NIST has decided to revise SP 800-38B and SP 800-38C, as described in the proposal.
