communications deception

Definition(s):

  Deliberate transmission, retransmission, or alteration of communications to mislead an adversary's interpretation of the communications. Rationale: Partner terms (imitative communications deception and manipulative communications deception) were listed for deletion in 2010 version of CNSS 4009.
