Poster: Randomness Beacon Applications

October 28, 2021

Presenters

Description

This poster presentation illustrates various use-case scenarios for public randomness beacons, such as the NIST Beacon. Interestingly, when striving for public auditability, the use of randomness needs to be coupled with a precise specification of a deterministic process. To properly design applications, it is important to understand well the difference between different properties of randomness, such as freshness and unpredictability, among others.
