Building Blocks

Building blocks are cybersecurity solutions that are applicable across multiple industry sectors. The National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence develops building blocks in collaboration with small groups of vendors. The NCCoE and NIST take measures to protect and prevent the disclosure of a partner’s intellectual property if and when it is a part of a building block.

Currently, the NCCoE, as part of the NIST Information Technology Laboratory, is continuing to refine the building block Trusted Geolocation in the Cloud, and has recently launched the building block "Continuous Monitoring: Software Asset Management."
