Applications of Pairing Based Cryptography: Identity Based Encryption and Beyond

Call for Presentations

NIST solicits presentations, panel proposals and participation from all interested parties, including researchers, system architects, vendors, and users. Suggested topics for submissions in applications of pairing-based cryptography include:

      • Internet and web security
      • Voting schemes
      • Health care
      • Access control schemes
      • IBE trust model
      • Integration of PKGs with PKI
      • Searching and processing encrypted data
      • Broadcast systems
      • Novel security applications


NIST will post the accepted presentations on the workshop web site and include them in a workshop handout, however will not publish a formal workshop proceedings. NIST encourages presentations on work that may be published elsewhere.

Deadlines:

      • Abstracts due: February 1, 2008
      • Notification to presenters: February 29, 2008
      • Handout presentation slides due: May 16, 2008

Presenters should submit abstracts not to exceed one page (US letter-size paper, single space, single-column format with 1” margins using 12 pt or larger font). Proposals for panels should include possible panelists and an indication of which panelists have confirmed their participation. All submissions will be acknowledged.

Please submit the following information to the IBE Program Committee

      • Name, affiliation, e-mail and postal address for the primary contact author
      • Name and affiliation of each co-author or proposed panelist
      • The panel or presentation abstract in PDF or MS Word format

Submitters of accepted presentations are expected to provide PowerPoint or PDF slides prior to the workshop. These slides will be distributed in a handout at the workshop and posted on the workshop web site.
